Press Coverage:
Febuary is White Ribbon Against Pornography Month The White Ribbon Against Pornography campaign began in Pennsylvania because Norma Norris, during a sermon against pornography, refused to believe that people did not care that hard core pornography was being sold in her community. As she looked around the congregation she said, That can't be; they're here. Shortly after, Norma decided that a white ribbon, as a symbol of decency, would be the symbol to unite her community in this battle. And a movement began!
Indeed, Norma was right. According to survey data collected by Wirthlin Worldwide in March 2002 and 2004, over 80% of adult Americans agreed that the Internet obscenity laws should be vigorously enforced.
Governor Huntsman and mayors of many Utah cities have declared the month of February to be White Ribbon Against Pornography month in Utah. Please add your voice to ours and many others and make a stand for decency!
**A special thank you to Gov Huntsman and the many cities who signed proclamations in support of White Ribbon Against Pornography Month February 2007
